PeeWee Warriors Win in Beardy's

The PeeWee Warriors defeated the Beardy's Blackhawks 9 - 4 Wednesday night to make it two wins in a row.  Sara Olexsyn, Brittany Hilkewich, and Carlee Beaudoin contributed to the scoring, each scoring goals.  Steven Simon was in goal for the win.  Good job Warriors. 

PeeWee Warriors Update

The PeeWee Warriors defeated the Aberdeen Flames 6 - 5 Monday night at the Wakaw Arena.  Mathew Stan and Kyle Michayluk led the way on the scoresheet with 2 goals each.  Shayna Regnier added 1 and Jackson Skoworodko scored the winner.

The Warriors travel to Beardy's to take on the Blackhawks Wednesday night.

Atom Warrior Update

The Atom Warriors travelled to Tisdale on December 3rd to take part in their first road tournament of the year.  Jack Bellefontaine had a very good day in goal and kept the games as close as they were.  Despite the competition being extremely tough, the kids continued to work extremely hard and still managed to have a great time.


The Warriors resumed SVMHL action on Tuesday night in Waldheim and came home with a 7-6 victory.  Most of the scoring was done by Brandon Hilkewich and Sam Gareau.  Cayleb Gorieu came through at a crucial time late in the third period with the winning goal. 


Novice Warrior Update

The Novice Warriors held their home tournament on December 3rd.  The Warriors hosted the Prince Albert Stars, the St. Brieux Nordiques, and the Bruno Flames.  Scott Lai and Owen Kristoff were among the players who received Hustler awards for their effort.

The Warriors were back to league action on Monday as they travelled to Langham to take part in an exciting 3 - 3 tie game.  The goals came via Bradley Hilkewich and Seth Hadlow while Scott Lai played goal.  The Warriors carried the play and peppered the Langham goaltender with shots.  

Novice Warriors Week in Review

The Novice Warriors travelled to St. Brieux for a tournament last weekend.  The novice team continued to work through the lineup and give all the kids a chance to be goaltender.  Gordon Walls, Scott Lai, and Julia Frie played goal.  Julia Frie received a Hustler award for her effort between the pipes.

The Warriors then travelled to Waldheim for a league game on Monday.  The Warriors defeated Waldheim 6 - 5, Liam McKinnon got the win in goal and Seth Hadlow lead the way on the scoresheet with 3 goals. 

Atom Warrior game in Hepburn is Postponed

The SVMHL Atom game scheduled for Thursday, December 1 in Hepburn has been cancelled and a re-schedule date is to be determined.  Practice at the Wakaw Arena is still on at 7:00.

PeeWee Warriors Week in Review

Last weekend the PeeWee Warriors held their home tournament hosting Asquith, Naicam, and Clavet.  The Warriors ended the day on a good note by defeating Asquith 7 - 4 in the final game.  Among the many highlights of the day, Jenna Michayluk scored a goal vs. Clavet and Brittany Hilkewich scored a goal and added 2 assists in the game vs. Asquith.

The PeeWee Warriors hosted Langham in league play at the Wakaw Arena on monday night.  The Warriors fell lost by a score of 6 - 2.


Atom Warriors 16 vs. Rosthern Wheat Kings 1

The Atom Warriors exploded offensively in defeating the Rosthern Wheat Kings at the Wakaw Arena last night.  The game included the first two goals of the year for Gregory Frie.  This was also the first game of the year for Carter Greschuk, who the Warriors activated off the IR (injured reserve) list.  Carter chipped in with an assist in his first game back.
