Initiation Warriors Hold Their Home Tournament

The IP Warriors home tournament took place on Saturday.  The tournament was a success on and off the ice.  The Warriors hosted Cudworth, St. Brieux, and Martensville.  The Wakaw club defeated Cudworth and St. Brieux before falling to Martensville in the final game of the day.


Waldheim 4 at Wakaw 4

The Atom Warriors opened up their playoff season with a tie against Waldheim Thursday night at the Wakaw Arena.  The series is a best of 2 total goal format, therefore the series will be decided Tuesday night in Waldheim.


Exciting Playoff Action

There was some exciting hockey played on Monday night at the Wakaw Arena.  

The Novice Warriors began the night down 1 goal in their 2 game total goal series to Hague.  Although the Warriors displayed a terrific effort, they fell just short in the series as game 2 was played to a 5 - 5 tie.

The PeeWee Warriors took the ice next trailing by 3 to Aberdeen.  The Warriors were able to win game 2 by a score of 6 - 1, which gave them the victory in the series.


Win One, Lose One for the IP Warriors

The Initiation Warriors defeated Hague 11 - 9 on Thursday night at the Wakaw Arena. The kids then lost in Cudworth on Friday 11 - 6.

The Warriors next action is their home tournament on Saturday, February 18th, come check out these future stars at the Wakaw Arena.  


Down But Not Out

The Novice and PeeWee Warriors both trail their respective SVMHL first round playoff series.  Both series are 2 game total goal format.

The Novice Warriors dropped the opener 8 - 7 in Hague, therefore the Warriors enter the game on Monday night at the Wakaw Arena trailing by 1.

The PeeWee Warriors dropped the opener 7 - 4 in Aberdeen, therefore the Warriors enter the game on Monday night at the Wakaw Arena trailing by 3.

Come out and cheer on the kids Monday night.


The Playoffs Have Started

The Sask Valley Minor Hockey League playoffs started last night when the Novice Warriors travelled to Hague last night.  The Warriors fell to Hague 8 - 7 and will enter their home game on Monday night trailing by 1 goal.  

The PeeWee Warriors begin their 2 game total goal series tonight when they travel to Aberdeen. 


Novice Warriors Have a Successful Bruno Tournament

The Novice Warriors attended Bruno's home tournament on Saturday.  The Warriors defeated Colonsay and Hepburn on their way to the A - Final where they lost to the host team.  The Warriors played well and received solid goaltending from Liam Mckinnon, Ryder Jenny, and Gordon Walls.


Atom Warriors Win the Aberdeen Tournament

The Atom Warriors travelled to Aberdeen on Saturday to attend the Flames home tournament.  After defeating the P.A. Sharks 13 - 2, and the LaRonge Ice Wolves 11 - 6, the Warriors were to play Aberdeen in the A - Final.  Despite the fact that the Flames are the #1 seed in the Atom SVMHL standings, the Warriors prevailed 4 - 1 in the final.  The Warriors showed an entire team effort and may have played their best game of the season.
