Novice Update

The Novice Warriors finished the 2011 season with a 4 - 3 - 1 record.  The Warriors lost in Cudworth on Wednesday night.  Alex Trumier lead the way on the scoresheet with a couple of goals while Owen Kristoff played goal.  The Warriors next game is at home to Langham on Jan. 11, the previous meeting between the two clubs ended in a 2 - 2 tie.  


Atom Update

The Atom Warriors finished 2011 with a 4 - 3 - 1 record.  The Warriors travelled to Hepburn on Dec. 29th and came home with a 9 - 0 victory.  The game was a big step for the defence as Tanner Pipchuk, Jaedyn Rudichuk, Kennedy Oleksyn, Kartter Gorieu, and Olivia Jacobson combined to provide a defensive wall in front of Jack Bellefontaine who got the shutout in goal.  The Warriors travel to Beardy's on Thursday night.

The PeeWee Warriors ended the 2011 year with a 2 - 6 - 1 record, this record looks worse than it is considering this team consists of only 10 players who are battling hard every game.  They lost on Tuesday night in Cudworth.  The team plays next on Thursday in Aberdeen.  The Warriors won their previous meeting with Aberdeen this season. 


IP Warriors Take 2 of 3 in Their First Game Action

The Initiation Program began their game schedule with a tournament in Cudworth this past weekend.  The Warriors won 2 games, beating Colonsay and St. Brieux.  The scoring was led by the veterans, Michael Burechaillo, Logan Gareau, Halle Gaudry, Drew Jacobson, Conner Olexsyn, Shawn Thibault, and Noah Skoworodko.  There are also 3 rookies that played in their first hockey game, Carson Haines, Dylan Roberts, and Cameron Jacobson.  The other member of the squad is Trey Parenteau, Trey missed the weekend games with an injury but is rehabbing and hopefully will be back soon to help the Warriors continue the winning.


Atom Warriors Fall Dalmeny in a Close Game

The Atom Warriors lost 5 - 4 to the Dalmeny Sabres on Thursday night at the Wakaw Arena.  Among the scorers was Gregory Frie with a nice tap in from in front of the goal, and Brandon Hilkewich with a nice move after a beautiful setup from Sam Gareau.  The game was tied until 5 minutes left when Dalmeny got the winning goal. 

 


Novice Warriors Defeat Hague 7 - 5

The Novice Warriors travelled to Hague on Wednesday night.  Liam McKinnon backstopped the Warriors to the 7 - 5 victory.  Bradley Hilkewich, Seth Hadlow, and Owen Kristoff led the Warriors on the scoresheet.  The Warriors next game is Wednesday, December 21 against the undefeated and league leading Dalmeny Sabres. 


PeeWee Warriors Win Streak Snapped By Warman

The PeeWee Warriors had their brief 2 game win streak snapped by the Warman Lynx.  The game was held on Monday night at the Wakaw Arena.  The Lynx are undefeated in the SVMHL and sit alone atop of the standings.  The Warriors played the Lynx tough and kept the score close in the early part of the game.


Atom Warriors Lose to Aberdeen at Home

The Atom Warriors lost to Aberdeen 7 - 2 on Thursday night at the Wakaw Arena.  The Aberdeen Flames snapped the Warriors 4 game SVMHL undefeated streak, using good defence and very strong goaltending to get the win.
